Fran’s been teaching at Wichita State University for a decade (!?!) and I finally visited! Some highlights - randomly running into WuShock on Day 1, meeting Sloths on Day 4 and running a half marathon on Day 6. We also visited the Sedgwick County Zoo 3 times during their members only hour between 8am-9am. So much fun!      I’m not sure if Fran meeting me for lunch while I was working at the Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues counts as our first date, but let’s start the love story there. 😘
(exact date unknown cuz I’m an elderly woman with poor memory 🤦♀️) FREE WOMEN GET ONE TODAY That sign is one of my favorite mementos from working at CCWI from 1993-1994.  I used to be a competitive runner (BQx4), but now I’m excited to walk with my daughter, to celebrate my husband winning his age group, and to dress up in a traffic cone costume!
